How the OLN contractor system works

Step 1

You join free

Submit your company details, trade categories, service area, and lead preferences. Matt reviews every application personally.

Step 2

We send a blind preview

When a homeowner requests service, you receive the job type, area, scope, and budget by email — no homeowner contact info yet.

Step 3

You accept or pass

You have 12 business hours to review the lead. If it's not a fit, pass — you owe nothing.

Step 4

Contact released on acceptance

Once you accept, homeowner contact details are unlocked and the referral fee is applied to your account.

Required attestations

I attest that I hold all required commercial insurance (minimum CAD $2,000,000 commercial general liability), WSIB coverage where applicable, licenses, certifications, and registrations to operate my trade lawfully in Ontario. I will maintain them while participating in Ontario Lead Networks, provide proof on request, and notify OLN within 5 business days if any required coverage lapses. I have read, understood, and agree to the Contractor Terms of Service in its entirety.

How much does it cost to join?

Nothing. Signup is completely free and there are no monthly fees.

Do I have to accept every lead?

No. You review each lead first — full details — then decide to accept or pass.

Is the lead shared with other contractors?

Never. OLN is built around one-contractor-per-lead delivery.

What if a lead turns out to be bad?

You have a 48-hour dispute window after contact release. Valid disputes are reviewed and credited.

Can OLN build a page for my trade?

Yes. If your trade is a fit and we don't already have a dedicated page, we can build one at no upfront cost.

How fast will I start getting leads?

Lead volume ramps as homeowner inquiries increase in your area. Early contractors benefit from lower competition during the launch period.
